🛡️ The "No-Server" Architecture
Ashak Studios does not have a central database of your chats or generated images.
PEXA is built on a serverless architecture where your data resides in your personal iCloud container.
1. Where is my data stored?
Your chat history, prompts, and generated images are synchronized via Apple's CloudKit Private Database.
This means only you (via your Apple ID) have access to this data. We (the developers) literally cannot see, access, or mine your personal history.
2. How are images generated?
Since we don't have GPU servers, we act as a secure bridge between your device and specialized AI providers. Here is the exact data flow:
- Text Analysis: Your prompt is sent to Google Gemini API purely for translation and safety checks. Data is not used for model training.
- Image Synthesis: The processed prompt is sent to either Fal.ai (for Turbo Mode) or Pollinations.ai (for Standard Mode).
- Delivery: The generated image is returned directly to your device and saved to your iCloud. The providers process the request but do not build a profile on you.
3. Analytics
We collect minimal, anonymous usage data (e.g., "App crashed on launch", "User clicked Premium button") to fix bugs. This data is never linked to your identity or your image content.
Fair Usage & Limits Policy
PEXA relies on high-cost GPU computing power. To keep the app sustainable and fast for everyone, we implement specific limits based on your tier.
🪙 Free Tier Mechanics
Credits: You start with 5 fast credits.
Ad-Supported: Once credits run out, you can generate images by watching a short ad.
Speed: Free generations mostly use our Standard Engine (Pollinations), which may be slower during peak hours.
Premium "Smart Limits" (Server Health)
"Unlimited" refers to access, but we must protect the API from bot abuse and overheating. Even as a Premium user, you might encounter cool-down periods if you generate extremely fast.
- 20 Images Rapidly: You may be asked to wait ~10 minutes.
- 40 Images Rapidly: A ~30-minute cool-down may apply.
- 60+ Images Rapidly: A longer cool-down (~50 mins) ensures fair allocation of GPU resources for other users.
Note: If you hit a limit on the Turbo Engine (Fal.ai), the app may seamlessly switch you to the Standard Engine (Pollinations) so you can keep creating, albeit at a standard speed.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance & Content Safety
By using PEXA, you agree not to generate content that involves Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), gore, extreme violence, or hate speech.
Our AI system (Gemini) automatically scans prompts before generation. If a prompt violates these safety rules, it will be sanitized or rejected.
2. Ownership of Generations
You own the images you create. Ashak Studios claims no copyright over your creations. You are free to use them for personal or commercial purposes, subject to local laws regarding AI-generated content.
3. Subscriptions & Refunds
PEXA offers a renewable subscription processed entirely by Apple.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled 24 hours before the end of the period.
- Refunds: We do not handle payments directly. All refund requests must be made to Apple Support.
4. "As Is" Disclaimer
AI is an evolving technology. We cannot guarantee that every image will be perfect (e.g., correct number of fingers/limbs). The service is provided "as is" without warranties regarding specific artistic output.
